So I’ve done a little digging but can’t seem to find any info to help me make this decision. Info about my truck 2023 with a tire rack installed in the bed. Not a ton of room anymore so it’s not a huge loss.

I want to remove my tail gate but with it being a power tail gate I’m sure it’s not as simple as it used to be. But as I stated I can’t really find any info to dissuade me from going through with it. I’m sure I just didn’t search the right word combination, therefore missing the obvious answer…. Can anyone enlighten me as to weather this could potentially be a bigger problem then it’s worth ?

Cant be that hard. Its prolly a single connector that goes throught the center tailgate like a gen juan for the camera. Disconnect, remove tailgate, tape off harness. Prolly tool less too

Well it’s been raining most of the day here in Colorado so the tailgate hasn’t been removed yet. If the weather breaks tomorrow there’s a good chance it’s coming off.

Simplifying my life means taking things off the truck I don’t use, this isn’t a work. It’s my play truck, not a hauling stuff truck.

This is my current set up, as I already stated I’m not storing anything in my bed.
I’ll have to go through the USB drive to see if there’s directions on the removal. I was thinking there’d be something specific like removing a taillight. IMG_2916.jpeg

Yank that biτch!

I asked about the bed supports just to help support the bed sides once the tailgate is removed. Don't want stress cracks.
Nope I appreciate the checks on my sanity, I need them because I have a tendency to see the end result while missing some of those important little in between steps
