Thanks for that write up and that alleviates the fear I had about compromised ride. Let us know how it tows. I’m awaiting the AirIQ HD2 and hope to have everything together next week.

I am between the Airlift 1000 and 5000 bags. I do have the Foutz .75" Spacers on the rear. When I spoke with airlift about the 5k bags and my spacers they suggested adding the 2" riser for the cradle so it would be in constant contact but in my opinion that would put too much constant pressure resulting in a rougher ride. I am not sure if it would be better to use the 1000 bags since they won't be affected by the spacers, or use the 5000 bags and have a little gap between the bag and cradle when the truck is unloaded.

For reference I am towing a 3500 lb overloading trailer with a 350 lb tongue weight and a few hundred pounds of gear in the bed.

Only had 700lbs load (verified at the waste disposal station scale) in my single axle utility trailer and about 200lbs in the bed. Without air the rig had obvious squat. It took 20psi of air for the bags to level the truck out with 900lbs. Towed great with an obviously more sturdy ride, but still had suspension travel in the rear. The “cushion of air” wasn’t rigid at all. I decided to keep the air in the bags after dumping the load and it felt like I was driving a F-250. I then released the air for my four hour drive back home and it converts back into the Raptor in normal mode. Pretty slick, I’m glad I pulled trigger on these.

Guess it’s personal preference/feel about the ride when the bags are empty. I really don’t feel any difference when bags are empty, if I did, I would still try to remove the schrader valves duriing normal driving. I'm not even going to bother with the valves, not needed. BTW… I have the 35 Raptor.

This is the air supply ($50 at Costco) I’m using and it worked great. Filled the bags quick while truck and trailer was already loaded. I’ve used this compressor for a year now while out on the trails with the motorcycles.

The true test will be the box trailer with the motorcycles, but that's not going to be anytime soon. I'm sure I will get the same positive results. Just my .02!

Thanks for the follow up.

I got my system installed yesterday - 2024 Raptor 35. I went with the Airlift 5000 and LogIQ AirIQ HD2 onboard air (per AvyRaptor23's write up above). I have to say I'm impressed. It fills quickly (in seconds) with the app or remote, and I can't detect a noticeable degradation in ride quality when empty (although in fairness, I only have 300 miles on the truck so not much to measure against). I also noticed (as noted above) when monitoring the app over bumps when empty the pressure would spike to 2 or 3 lbs, but touching the deflate button the next time eradicated that to a point it stays at 0 regardless. Measured empty rear ride height is unchanged from stock as well. I'm also adding the AirIQ air tank for additional flexibility with inflating tires, etc and should have that done next week.

I'll be towing both light and heavy trailers once the truck passes 1k miles and will report back on towing performance in a couple weeks.

Despite some familiarity with Airlift 5000s on my Super Duty, this thread has been very useful in context of the 3rd Gen Raptor. Thanks everyone for their contributions.

If you are on the fence, this seems a perfect, as designed solution to stay level when towing or hauling, retain ride quality and stance when not and be able to transition quickly between those states.
