Not a problem, your the bigger man for apologizing, and I apologize for flying off the handle.
I am on your side, the advantages to buying from the US are obvious. I think it is stupid that the dollar is above par and the truck cost $10,000.00 more, I cant make sense of it, and now ford is putting the kibosh on dealers selling to Canadians, but I also see some advantages to buying a truck in Canada that's all.

Anyone here successfully imported a raptor to Canada ? Wondering what your experiences were, and if you've had any issues with warranty etc?

Thx

Got mine in the US,no probs what so ever but it was used 9K I think.Dealer has no qualms working on it,in fact I bring my own us purchased parts (made in Canada) for them to install. Take a look on $bay, saw a crap load of new trucks last week @ very good prices (50K range) mostly in southern states.Get it shipped to the border if need be.It's well worth the little extra effort IMHO.:secret:

I commend anyone who goes through the extra effort and gets a better deal through the states. I kinda wish I did the same The Canadian dealer sold me the truck for $5.00 over dealer invoice with no extra charges for PDI and so on. Shortly after a friend bought one with same options for $4300.00 less in the US. so my deal did not look as good anymore, but I did have a lot of conveniences of buying locally. Maybe not $4300.00 worth of conveniences though.

If I was going to do it again I would just buy a low mileage used one from the US as you'd save huge and dealers have no problem selling used ones to Canadians. Also easy to get across the border as long as it has absolutely no mods it has to be stock.

How come no mods? I did import a heavily modded vehicle, like almost nothing was original from the US, it was an older vehicle though, but had no problems. Unless things have changed.

This is right from the www.riv.ca website so sounds like mods are ok but can't have a lift kit suspension mods might count as well.

Please note: Neither Transport Canada nor the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) can guarantee the accuracy of the information contained in this list. The information is subject to change without notice.Vehicles that have been modified from their original state, other than regular maintenance, may not be eligible for importation into Canada. For example, a van transformed into a motorhome (often known as Class B motorhome), a van equipped with raised roof and/or modified interior, a pick-up or a passenger car equipped with lift kit, a motorcycle converted to a motor tricycle (trike), etc. This also applies to Canadian vehicles modified in the U.S. and returning to Canada.

I am currently in the process of purchasing a used Raptor from the US and am hung up on a couple of points. Does anyone know how i would go about getting temporary license plates to drive it back to Canada from the US. I will also not have the bill of sale until i get down there and inspect it for myself and i will need a temporary Canadian License plate to get it over the border.

Any experience from someone who has purchased a used Raptor and brought it into Canada would be greatly appreciated.
