@t_j How many cans of dip did you use for your roof? How many coats did you end up with?

It took about 3.5 cans for a scab with sunroof. As for coats I think 6 or so light coats with a thicker on at the end. It was drying quick enough that I could just go around the truck continually until I finished.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was close, I guessed 4. Good to hear, I already have the spray gun from dipping my busa so I may get a gallon of it.... I'm sure I can find other uses for the leftover black. :)

I have guns but I went with cas as I can buy those in the local store and I wanted to just get it done rather than wait on shipping.

Very true, plus no shipping. It was $20 for shipping for 2gal of black. I'll just wait and order it along with the new color when I'm ready.... I have a few things I need to finish in the shop before I tackle a new project.

Thought I'd share this regarding a wrap of a roof 2012 and older. The roof has structural indents which don't hold the wrap very well.

Over time the vinyl wraps shrink, causing this area to slightly lift. Then I imagine that water lays in here and freezes in the winter causing the wrap to crack.

My roof is like this all the way across. I tried to take a close up pic so you can see what has happened.

Thanks for the heads up Joe! That happening would have never crossed my mind. Plasti-Dip it is!

Ordered 2gal Plasti-Dip to do the roof, bumpers and fenders... and 4gal extra of a different color to do the rest of the truck. Hopefully it'll get here by the weekend.
