Anybody Received Nitto Ridge Grapplers in the Last Month?

I've had an order for 4 Ridge Grapplers 35 12.5 R17 since 4/30. I'm in Atlanta, but they say they've been on nationwide backorder since I placed my order. Saying CA plant has been closed due to Covid. They are calling all their distributors again today. The crazy part is that they aren't even getting an ETA. Just checking if there's anybody else out there with these in stock?

RGs are meh...go to Southern Offroad in ******* and have some real tires mounted - like the Yokohama Geolander MTs, much more aggressive and quiet also. I've had BFGs ATs, RGs, KM3s on my Raptors, and none of those are as good.

Thanks. Not looking for any MTs on these wheels - more every day driving and unplanned off-road. I know sound is subjective, but never found a MT tire I'd call quite on the highway. I have a set of true beadlocks dedicated for off-road with more aggressive tires.

BTW - installer found 8 on the west coast, so my 4 are coming my way.

I just got a set put on by Americas Tire, Discount Tire in some parts of the country. They ordered them on Monday and installed on Tuesday.

As good? What does that mean? For what purpose? I sell offroad parts and have run Ridge Grapplers on my Jeeps, i've yet to find a tire that does everything as well as them. Sure there are better offroad tires, and better on road tires, but there aren't any in my experience anyway that can do everything as well as they do. What areas do did you find them not up to par? What load rating tires were you running?

They were one of the worst tires I've ever run in deep soft sand. Everything else they did OK in, although I never tried them in soupy mud - figured I'd get stuck. They do most things well, but since I do go to the Outer Banks I will never run them again. Since the RGs, I have run KM3s (better) and the Geolanders (even better). The Geolanders are just as good on pavement (wet or dry) and almost as quiet. The RGs are basically an AT tire with a MT sidewall to make it look aggressive for the pretenders. If you have a off-road truck......

Maybe not the best in soft sand, I don't have much experience with driving on the beach. But i had RG's on my Rubicon, and they performed pretty flawlessly on and offroad. I've spent alot of time on dirt some mild rock crawling and have never had an issue. I've also not seen or had an offroad tire perform as well on road as the RG's. But thats my opinion. Most tires will perform differently depending on the task you are asking of them. But as far as all around tire I don't think there is a better option. Thats my opinion of course. i'm sure if i spent less time on road and more time off i would go the MT route but for the AVG person unless you just want the look and don't mind getting new tires EVERY year than i would steer clear.

Around here we can't drive on the beach so soft sand is something we never really deal with. We have plenty of snow, gravel roads and muddy trails and the Nittos are really good in those conditions.
