I had poor experience with ridge grapplers.... bought a set. 3 of the 4 failed road force balance. Annoying vibration and wobble At highway speeds. Nitto sent 3 new ones. 2 of those failed to balance. Ended up going back to duratracs. Also ran Kelly safari tsr. Both solid year round performance!
Also have a buddy running a set of grapplers (all his tires balanced fine) so maybe i got a bad bunch... and he likes them for 3 season driving but said there were flat out terrible in winter snow and slush. So he pulls them off every winter and also runs duratracs.
He had a set a DC fun country prior and said he much prefers their performance and ride over ridge grapplers as well.

But all depends on your style and need of driving. If u don't see bad winters I think the grapplers will be fine.. I am goin be due in about a year and think I'm goin give the yokahama x-at or goodyear ultra terrain a try.

I agree - If you have to have a hybrid, go with the Duratracs. I've had both. When new, the RG are more quiet, but after 40K, they got as noisy as a MT.
