I’ve got about 5k miles on my ‘24 and absolutely love it. My only issue is the somewhat dead pedal and weird shift points in the transmission. Switch over to manual shifting and thing is a beast.

There are plenty of threads about it.

I had one and it was fun for a few days but didn’t really do it for me. I sold both raptors and went back into a f250 tremor. I miss my 3.5 Goosetuned truck more than the R honestly. It was a lot more fun to drive.

I plan to buy another raptor in the future. If the 3.5 can be tuned by then I’ll go that route, if not probably another R.

I’m on the fence with mine as I have the whole suite of common issues; engine chirp, exhaust rattle, long/delayed start. Ford says it’s all normal/expected behaviour. Yeah I’m not sure I buy in that these should be normal things on a truck this expensive.

I've had my muffler assembly changed twice now, and it still has the cold start actuator rattle. I can make the actuators rattle at low-speed RPMS too. It sure doesn't sound like Ford Performance would expect it to. Dealer has been great, just crap parts.

I’ll give a different perspective here. I like my ‘23 R fine, especially now with the FRS installed. But I bought the truck primarily for off road use and there is no benefit to an R for that application. It sounds good and pulls strong, but for my primary use it also uses considerably more fuel and has more power than can be used in the dirt. The fuel issue is real in Baja, but manageable. The power is great on the road, but can get you into trouble offroad.

To do over again, I’d likely save the $30k more it cost me and go with the V6. Overall the R has been stone reliable, I run it hard, and it’s a great truck…but the 6 would likely have been the same.
