About once per week, I google the Raptor R in hopes of finding new information. I have not seen anything in a long time. I know that production is king, and managing all the issues… and supply issues. With that said, we should still see mules out running around. But, nobody reporting anything. At this point, I wonder if Ford was bluffing to keep buyers from making the TRX commitment. In any case, the longer this goes, the further away we get from “corona parts”, and “corona builds”.

I'm doubtful, but hopeful in the same breath. Maybe Ford will just come out with an electric Raptor instead. With the price of fuel and climate change mandates, it doesn't leave much desire for Ford to produce a fire breathing Raptor anymore. Hope I'm wrong!

Yes and once ICE engines are outlawed, what will happen to the price of electricity required for charging your EV? It will skyrocket. Coal/Nuclear powered electric vehicles is what they really are.

Instead of paying 2-3000 a year in gas, everybody will have to pay 20-30000 to have solar panels installed on their houses, if you can afford to buy one of those, otherwise pay 5-750 month in electricity.

I have solar panels, without a battery system to store and disperse that energy as needed it is leaving a lot desired. The whole world does not live in sunny California, you being in Canada understand that better than most. Large parts of the year for me and you, solar panels are not even subsidizing my energy consumption. My point is that EV's are not the answer just because that's the direction world government is pushing us.

Yes, you definitely need a battery system, plus you can feed back into the grid if you have enough panels, it can be beneficial, but the start up cost is huge and out of reach for most. We get a lot of sunshine here in the Okanagan but then again, not enough hours of sunlight in the winter months. People will just start charging their cars at work or stealing electricity and plug in wherever there is a socket, lol.

I have been waiting for a Raptor R. Decided to place an order for a TRX as I was able to get one well below MSRP and hopefully can get my money out if I am ever to get ahold of an R.

Hopefully not thread drift, but an interesting video on alternative power sources (ie. electric/solar). Not as friendly to the environment as one would initially think.

If Ford doesn't make a Raptor R next year, it won't because people are only wanting EVs. Things aren't going to move that fast, and the industry couldn't meet that sort of demand anyway.

What could happen is that inflation, gas prices, and supply chain issues pushes Ford to rethink or delay the R.
