My wife broke the ton in my Raptor before I did... and I’m the one with the 2 Ninjas...

if you like / want the truck, go back and (wo)man up. Tell that chümp that you want THAT Raptor, but you’re too much woman for him, so go find the sales manager so the adults can talk. That is not the way a gentleman talks to a lady and you should feel no obligation to allow that kind of negativity in your life. And, let’s be honest, if you have/had a male partner in your life / with you at that moment, that conversation would never have gone down like it did. Because men change their behavior interacting with women when they have a companion with them.

We do have some rather stringent conditions though.

1) if you buy the Raptor and then post up here about it, you’d better post pics, or we’ll be forced to conclude that you actually bought a prius.
2) your money, your truck.
2a) Buuut if you jam on zero offset 22” on it, we will ruthlessly ridicule that lack of decorum.
3) Since it is a Jen Tres Raptor, you will be obliged to spend thousands on PPF or be shamed at the local starbucks by other Jen Tres owners.
4) if you wrap the Raptor in some off the wall, chartreuse ... well, we simply can’t be friends.

Even though I'm aware dealership salesman are bottom of the barrel employees, I'm surprised one was dumb enough to steer you away from one of the most expensive models Ford offers while possibly offending you and blowing any chance of a sale - even on a Fiesta.

I think it just depends on what type of girl you are. My wife grew up in Orange County, CA, not a truck girl at all. I've had a vision of getting her to take over my current Raptor while I order an R, so I've had her take it out when she runs around town. She finally just told me she's not into it, she has to think about it too much when driving and hates the attention it brings.

I've dated some girls who would absolutely love the attention it brings and would not be concerned at all about what they run into with it LOL. Then there was the girl I dated in Montana who could back up a trailer better than me...

I'm looking to buy my first truck and I want a Raptor. One of the salesmen I met said it was too much truck for me. I'm a woman and that got my angry. Any other lady Raptor owners out there? Anyone want to talk me out of it? I'm about to order a 2024 this week. I'm looking for the V6 Eco-boost transmission in Black. I'm in upstate NY and found a dealer in Pa. that says they have an allocation.
A buddy used to sell BMW's. While on a test drive he tells the customer "he can probably Jew down the sales manager on the price."

Customer was apparently Jewish and besties with some big wig at the out of state dealership HQ. An hour later my buddy was walked out the door with his box of family pics and clip on ties.

If you're really upset about it, you might mention it to the sales manager. Maybe you'll get a better deal on the truck but maybe the guy will get fired. Something to think about.

Edit: Oh yeah, my wife and I each have '22's. She wasn't sure about it before it showed up at the dealer, but she loved it and continues to love it a little over a year later. And she does not like driving trucks in general.
