GEN 2 anti-collision in operation

I was on the way home last night and got to see the Raptor anti-collision in action when it actually counted. A lot of us have lamented the far ahead, turning vehicle setting off the collision alert. I did not brake; the truck did all the work

The video doesn’t quite do this justice as to how hard the truck slowed down.

So it did apply the brakes on its own, or were you using adaptive cruise? Manual says it doesn't brake, just primes them, but it does in fact brake in my truck and in someone else's video on youtube.

Why would you ever trust technology to replace human instincts? You should consider yourself lucky that the Ford bailed you out this time. As SL75 will inform you, that system only works 1 out of 10 times, and you lucked out and got the 1.

I don’t know that it braked or just cut all the power. But it did work.

Standard procedure. Most makes and models do this... Not a novelty item specific to our raptors.

After have a front bumper replaced last week after one of these episodes I am turning mine back on.
