I don't know what the safe working amperage for the aux switch circuits are other than what Ford has them Fused for. I wouldn't go any higher because electrical components get expensive. What I would do instead is have the aux switch control a heavy duty relay with the proper size wiring and circuit protector. This way you can design the circuit for as many amps as you want 30, 40 50, whatever. Just be careful you don't over work the alternator if you get crazy. What mods did you have in mind?

and there's your answer.....

well the subs are easy enough to turn on/off without the need for AUX switches. any they would probably be the biggest draw of amperage out of everything you listed.

I am hooking up my ***** with a quick disconnect straight to the battery. This way I can use my quick disconnect jumper cables as well. When I want to use it, I will simply plug it into the quick disconnect. I'll be posting pictures as I get stuff done. I want my Aux switches for the lighting and various other toys I am adding including the CB/PA, HAM Radio, front off road lights, Roof lights, rear lights ect.

It is very possible to run an amp of of one of the aux switches. You would only want to run the "remote" or "amp turn on" wire off of the aux switch. This would allow you to turn the amp on and off while the ignition is on. Almost any amp on the market does not require more than 5 amps of current to turn the amp on so the aux switch will be more than enough to power the "remote" on the amp

However you will still need to power your amp from a good 12 volt power source... ie battery. Hope this answers your question adequately

I agree adding an amp would be pretty simple to add in. I just wanted to add that all 4 upfitter switches all use 20ga wire reguardless if your using the 10,15,30 amp relay. Relays 1,2,3 are also the same relay part number everything #4 is a larger relay that runs 10amp fuse. The only difference really is the fuse that has been installed in the SJB. If you installed a larger fuse 1,2,3 could all be 30amp upfitters if you wanted with no wiring mods since they all use the same guage wire as is. Superduties have had upfitter switches since 04 and service guys have changed a lot to 30a w/o any troubles since wiring is set up same throughout all those ckts.
