They are offroad lights and if you look directly at the LED's you will be seeing spots. The ambers are not as bright but not sure if they are blinding to oncoming traffic.
Would amber Duallys be OK for street use? not sure.

Not worried about legality, these will be used on dark backroads and even darker/foggy mountain roads when I go home to visit my folks...so I want the brightest ones I can get to spot deer as to not wreck my raptor lol

Depending on how bright the Amber D2s are I might run them during the day from time to time so these idiot northern VA drivers can see me

So you went with 4 white D2s but in the driving pattern instead of flood? Have you seen the flood and driving patterns in person or are you just going off what the website says?

Please let me know what you think after you get them installed.

Yes that is what I ordered. I made this decision based on the output pictures from the website and member output shots.

I use mine during the day more then at night, otherwise idiot drivers are constantly pulling on top of me.

The dually and D2, white and amber, are off-road lights and not street legal in my state. But neither is my front window tint and rear tag bracket. I've had the D2 amber driving lights on every night this week and have not been flashed by oncoming traffic. I've even passed state troopers on the side of the interstate with them on with no issues. As soon as I switch to the white D2 lights, 75% of oncoming traffic flash so I don't use them on the road.

I thought about getting the whites with Amber covers but I read that the amber covers have a glow during the day even when not powered on. I haven't personally witnessed it but that swayed me away from the covers.

Yeah I'm just going to get amber for the outer slots... I figured the 2 white 4inch spots and 2 D2s floods will be enough for what I need...unfortunately I don't live out west and do a 100 in the desert

I have this set up. I run my ambers almost all the time. I was a bit disappointed about the brightness since they seem to get out about as far as my stock hid headlights. I wish I had went with the spots for the ambers rather than the floods.

Spot is only available in Dually not D2.

do the amber floods light up the area to the side were a deer might be standing?

seems like the spots should be clear and the floods amber

My bad, driving pattern rather than wide. The ambers that I have are the wide. They do light up a bit to the outside but it gets really over powered. I think the driving pattern for the ambers and aiming them a bit outward would have been a bit better off for me.

Amber Driving D2 will be wider than the Amber Flood Dually
