Baja design's light bars are truly astounding, they usually make about 50% more output than most of the other light companies with only a quarter the amount of LEDs, imagine if they could use the same amount of LEDs as the other companies with their optics and keep the bar the same size, their 51" radius bar would make about 140-150 thousand lumens

This discussion of American made versus foreign products has been going on for damn near my entire life.. remember when everyone was screaming about how Honda was a foreign POS and they'd never last? I remember hearing my parents and neighbors talking about how crappy Honda was and that they couldn't be relied upon… What did Honda do? Well they kept building great cheaper products and forced change upon the American car manufacturers..

I personally could not give two ***** about where the product is made, I buy quality not the location of the manufacturing plant. In my opinion, just like the organic food market, I think a lot of manufacturers jump in with the "Made in U.S.A." label and then charge a surcharge because they know there is a segment of the population who will buy it and explain away the additional cost because well… it's made here in the good ole U.S. of A!

Now before you go all getting indignant and rant about how I must be some sort of traitorous, non-U.S. loving communist; I will state that I have been defending this country for almost 25 years and have put my life on the line numerous times during that time.

I would love to buy American however with that being said, I cannot justify paying such ridiculous prices for an LED light bar that I might turn on every couple months.. maybe.

As for the point about racers running these lights, respectfully give me a friggin break. They run the lights because they are SPONSORED which means they are PAID to run them.

From what I've seen of the reviews and talking to my friends who have some of all of these, the foreign built lights by and large seem to be of equal quality and a fraction of the cost.

As always, just my $.02

Skyscraper I agree with the amount of bars. I'm having 210in stealth amber driving, 2 10in stealth amber spot, 2 squadron wide cornering, and 4 onx8in in white on the bumper in addition to 2 6.7light cannons on the hood. Already mounted one cannon on and holy s*** they are bright and go far as hell:):).

BGM thank you for defending us and our right to have this "free speech" discussion about all the choices that freedom gives us as Americans.

I try and buy as much American as possible. I want the best product and to keep our economy strong. But I hate when companies mark up products because of the Made In America, when they have all foreign components, then I have no problem buying a foreign product. But when the American product outshines:) the foreign product then I go America.

As food for thought, there is more to lighting than lumens. Take a look at the measurements taken during the lighting shootout:

The optics of the lower cost lights cannot get light downrange like those of the more expensive lights. What good are all of those lumens doing for you if they can't make it downrange?
