GEN 2 Always rip off tailgate step panel

Maybe it has to do with not having the pull out step? I think the cap is several pieces. I have the step and no issue.

Yes I have the pull out step too, no issues.

Yep, knocked it off 20 times. All my tabs are broken now so I just pound it back on each time. Chitty design

I have the step,

And I thought I was the only one with this issue. Most of the tabs are broke on my cover now.

I have never had a problem with the cap coming off or snagging, but I have a bed rug and it raises up about a 1/4" so everything is taller than the cap.
