My wife has a Maxima with the push button start and entry and everytime I drive I think that a RFID dermal implant would be cool to avoid having to carry the remote. They do dermal implants for a variety of cosmetic stuff and RFID implants for ID chips and some companies are doing them for secure access.

Would you do dermal implant to never have to look for your keys again?

Word of warning.... if you google dermal implant some of the image results will be a ***** with um.. modifications.

TT

And you don't see how this RFID implant may be a bad idea?

That "very near future" has already arrived. The new BMW's have a feature where all port/programming access attempts are counted/recorded and that record is downloaded each time you take the car in for service. That count can then be compared to a factory managed database for your car. If they differ, good luck with certain warranty claims.

The recording/logging feature in the car discriminates between diagnostic efforts and actual programming efforts.

Ya, was talking about Fords... Some are doing now for sure... Chrysler is too on their high end vehicles
