I like both. If I have to repaint the flares for restoration or repair I'd go with white.

But I won't go out of my way to spend money on this mod just for the heck of it

I think if you're gonna keep the stock fenders, leave 'em alone. If you're gonna get some wider fiberglass fenders, then color match looks good. I'm not a fan of the color-matched stock fenders, but I like 'em color-matched when they've got beefier shoes in the fender wells and a wider/taller stance.
