I actually test drove a 2015 chevrolet silverado 6.2 supercrew a few months ago after receiving a $50 testdrive offer in the mail (I had no intention of making the switch but took them up on their $50 offer). Outside looks are okay, mainly due to the abundance of chrome of which I am not a fan in general. Interior, the raptor seats are far more comfortable. Overall cabin feel felt "cheaper" and had a lot of hard plastics (even more than the raptor). I did however like the infotainment system better, although I only played with it for a few minutes. The drive itself was somewhat disappointing, truck felt sluggish, brakes felt spongy and ride was less comfortable on road. No off road experience in silverado. Truck stickered around $62 I believe but don't quote me on that.
Overall, I left the dealership in my raptor as a very happy man.

Take the Raptor. You can sell it later and loose very little because of resale value.

I have a 2013 Yukon XL as a DD family hauler. The build quality is just shit for a $45k-$50k vehicle. Raptor while it has plastic there it does not squeak anything like the Yukon. Funny thing is the Raptor has every excuse to have to squeaky cab noises based on how it has been abused but no, it's quiet.

I honestly don't think you could regret going with the Raptor over the Chevy.

I think it's obvious most people here would recommend the Raptor, it's a badass truck. I had my Raptor in the shop last month and for my rental they gave me the keys to a brand new 2015 Chevy Silverado. I've never been a fan of them to begin with but after driving one, I'll definitely never own one. It was super weak, acceleration was terrible, the interior looked cheaply made, the seats were uncomfortable, and I felt like I was at the ride height of a small SUV. It could have been a 4 cyl for all I know, I didn't check. So maybe the V8 version is better, but still...

Raptor for sure. You won't regret it.

Seeing that you're a performance minded person and more than likely will end up modding the vehicle. I'm going to say you might be better off going the LS route. I've had a few LS based vehicles myself (Procharged 08 C6, Procharged 408 02 firehawk, procharged C5 FRC, etc) I have to admit the engine aftermarket for the 6.2 raptor is a bit lacking. Now for me everything else the raptor offers, performance offroad, looks, ride, and many others made it an easy choice. But if you strickly stick to the streets I'd say go with a new GMC. My GF recently purchased a 15 GMC Yukon Denali XL with heads up, adaptive cruise, etc. and its awesome. Not to mention it gets 21+ MPG highway and around 17-18 city. My Raptor gets 10-12 pretty much all the time.

After taking another look at that video, I see where they made their mistake. They put square wheels on Ford truck. If they had put them on a Chevy, it would have worked perfectly.
