Hmm,

I just put my order in last night with Mike Bass Ford and sent my $5k deposit. They told me ETA is about 10 weeks.

I'm checking now to verify what you posted is true or not...

They don't have allocations, they are just putting in orders, you can do that anywhere? without the allocations they wont get built!
5k non-refundable is *********! you'll be waiting and stuck at that dealership until they get more allocations.
This BS has happened to me twice before, the dealer always says oh we got allocations!! then why am i still waiting for a Vin & Build date for a order on 07/23?

Good Luck

Luckily I just sent my deposit check last night. So, I can still put a stop payment on it if I need to.

I just got off the phone with Ford customer relations. They said they have never heard of dealers taking deposits for trucks they cannot get.

I contacted my salesman, Justin. He said my deposit is refundable if for some crazy reason they can't get the truck. However, he reassured me the truck is ordered and I will get it as promised.

Hope this helps you. Man you gave me a scare!

Not sure how they can "order" it without an allocation....Here's what I was told by my dealer....they say a 3-4 month wait....

2 allocations left out of 10 and they are at MSRP ($1000 under for USAA)....they enter the order in the computer and a few days later it gets picked up by Ford as long as there are no constraints and as long as they have an open allocation....allocations attached to an actual customer get preference over units not attached to a customer....how long it takes from "picked up" to dealer delivery is a mystery....he has seen that larger dealers that move more overall Ford units and thus have more allocations get pushed to the front of the build line....

I put down a $1000 deposit....whether what I was told was BS or not I can't say....it did not sound like it....he says he has been underpromising everyone when it comes to this truck....

So just FYI we can order as many Raptors as we want. It won't do us any good though. Because if we don't have any allocation we won't get any of those orders built. If a dealer is writing orders for units they don't have allocation for they are just stuffing the order banks with the hope that another allocation may come available. I've asked my Ford rep constantly about the possibility of more allocation and am told every time I ask that there is not going to be any more allocation available this year.

You are correct, but some dealers are just taking deposits and putting in the orders with no allocations, this dealership is one of them,

Mike Bass is literally 10 minutes from my house. I was in contact with Justin their internet sales guy looking for an RS, he had me quoted at MSRP but then all of a sudden they couldn't get another allocation so that fell through, my buddy who drove up from KY was able to get an order that a guy backed out on at MSRP so I will say they were a decent dealer. My father is in the market for a Ruby Red Raptor so I've been scouring the ford systems for every local dealer to see what they have coming in. Mike bass just had an avalanche one i think the other day someone sent my father a picture of it.
