Hi All! This may have already been discussed, if so my apologies. I wanted to alert everyone how thieves are breaking into all vehicles that have a remote lock. My 2013 SCAB was broken into this morning using a device the Newport Beach Police called a "Code Grabber" that apprently copies your security code when you are locking your vehicle. When you push the lock button it sends a signal over the airwaves that can be cloned.

These folks wait until you go into the store or in my case a hike, only to return to my truck vandalized. I began receiving Fraud Alerts about 45 minutes into my hike. This is how quick these thieves work.

Cheers

More likely that he forgot to lock it. But catching a rolling code and it not changing, no way.

I started with snopes too. I did more google work and there are reports starting in 2013 of what they are calling a code scanner and they contrast with the myth of the code grabber. Nothing definitive.
