So I'm back with the AC issue. Well I it has been almost 2 weeks with ice cold AC and it was so nice! I was in sport mode and made a left hand turn and gave it a bit of gas coming out of the turn maybe 2.5k-3k and the AC quit. I kid you not if I had to guess it was within 10ft of where it quit last time.
Got to the house and now that I'm a pro AC guy I pulled the compressor. It was locked up again. Said screw it and pull apart the AC compressor and here is what I found. One of the "buttons" had came off and got wedged and locked it up.
So is there more of a problem than just AC compressor bad luck?
Do I just roll the dice and get another referb AC compressor?

Hmm! I don't know what happened. Maybe the **** from the old one that blew up was in the system and got to the compressor and f-ed it up.
Well the refurbished one came prefilled with oil. So all I did is install it, pull the vacuum for about 2 hrs, held it for another hr, started truck with max ac going, and filled with ~31oz of R-134a.
I'm going to go ahead and order a new Motorcraft compressor, new condenser and driers element, expansion valve, and O-rings. Hopefully that fixes it.

Most likely there was debris in the system. When that is a factor it’s recommended (and required by many brands for warranty coverage) to replace the condenser and TXV and flush the lines with a machine or can of A/C flush. Otherwise it becomes a repeat failure.

What's the TXV?
Was just looking into a flush for the lines too. Got the new condenser, new receiver drier cartridge, and expansion valve in route with the new compressor.
Thanks for the knowledge you always drop on us @FordTechOne
