hello guys

have a problem with my air conditioning blower. sometimes it shuts off when bringing it to higher fan speed setting .. and then you wait for a while , before everything is back to normal. turn the a/c on then shuts off at higher blower setting. once in a while this happens.
my battery is new and my raptor (2013) has 46000 km on it.

anyone can shed light on this problem, appreciate it

thank you

Sorry to piggy-back onto this thread, but my '14 just recently began to randomly change the fan speeds. Doesn't matter if the A/C is on auto or manual. If the fan speed is set to 3, the fan will start as if it's on 3, then shoot a short burst of air as if it's on 5, then back down to 3. It'll do this several times. I've tried changing the temperature as well as setting to auto, recirculate, and all other functions, but that didn't do anything either.

Could it be the resistor as well? Is this a common problem? How easy a fix is this and does it come up in a diagnostic if I take it to the dealer?

It sounds like your A/C can't make up its mind, Taxman! If you do decide to go the dealer route, see if you can show your tech exactly what you're describing. That will help them as they diagnose your truck. How many miles are on it?

I've got a little over 20k miles. It'll be a year old on Saturday. It's still under warranty, but I like to have an idea of what's wrong before going to the dealer so I can help point them in the right direction and also know when they're trying to B.S. me.

I should be able to recreate the issue. It does it fairly often and regularly lately. It started a few weeks ago very intermittently, but the last few days have been every time I get in the truck.

I have never had issues with Crossroads Ford in Wake Forest, but you never know.

I'm sure you'll be in great hands, Taxman. If you'd like, I can go ahead and loop in your regional customer service manager so they can work with your dealer on this. PM me your details; I'll do the rest. When writing, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.
