Sliver Raptor
FRF Addict
Well as some of you know I dropped my raptor off Wednesday at Premier Collision and Customs in Edgewater, MD to get all of the charcoal color on the truck painted black. After swapping my old stock 2011 rims for method standards the charcoal color on the truck just did not seem to fit anymore on the truck so I have been wanting to get the truck painted black.
To test how it would look I first tried plastidipping the fenders and really loved the look but wanted something that did not peal off. So this week I finally pulled the trigger and dove into painting my truck.
So here is what I had painted: Fenders, Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, Grill, All Emblems, Ford Rear Oval, Skid Plate, and the rear Wheel Wells. For the skid plate, wheel wells and under side of the fender flares I had them use a texturized paint used for rocker panels that should withstand the rock and mud abuse I like to put my truck through. The rear oval I had done special since the chrome and blue looked very out of place. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, it has grown on me alot.
Overall I am super happy with how it turned out and love how the truck looks with everything "blacked out". If anyone is on the fence for doing this, I would highly recommend it.
Also I just installed my new Raptor Retrofit FX-R's that Dawson did a fantastic job on! I absolutely love how they look, the combination of gloss and satin black really looks great. Thanks Dawson!
