Ok, thanks for the reply. When I purchased the Charger, I went with those Raybestos rotors up front (rears weren’t available) and the matching Police rated(severe duty) Raybestos pads. I did do the bed in procedure, but maybe not aggressive enough. The 2006 Police Chargers were know to devour brakes(although very effective), so Dodge changed the brake system in 2007. After the Raybestos pads and rotors were done, I went with a Akebono pads and Advance Auto rotors... braking is smooth now.

I would definitely try them again... as you said, they were great on the street... just a little noisy.

No, I’ve had really good luck with them, super smooth. With OEM pads they were really good on the street. Once the car got stripped out for track duty, we switched to Carbotech race pads. They are super aggressive and will cut the rotor fast, but so far have been super smooth. (No pedal vibration or rumble strip feeling.)

I like them because they’re made for sever service, and heavier vehicles. I plan on trying them on the Raptor when the time comes to do brakes.

It does make sense that the venting pattern could be a little bumpy and give you the rumble strip feeling. But, given our different experiences with them I’m wondering if your pads may be worn or rotors slightly warped, or if they weren’t bedded correctly?

I’ve been very happy with my R1 Drilled and Slotted Rotors and new R1 pads. But I also upgraded my brake lines to braided and it was a noticeable difference.

My experience with EBC (only had Red Stuff pads) is that they ate the shit out of the rotors in like, 10k miles and the pads literally disintegrated when I swapped them out, they turned to dust. I have a bad taste in my mouth because of it. Also, a reviewer on amazon said beware! They eat rotors and last 10k miles (from a raptor owner too). I'm leaning toward the FactionFab Rotors and pads.

What R1 pads are you running? More bite than factory? Quiet?

How many lines were there to replace for the system? I heard it sures up the pedal a bit.

My rotors looked like yours when I swapped them out. I went with the Power Stop Z36 kit (front and rear) and really liked them. If I remember right, the rears where almost done and the front had a little life left in them so I swapped everything out.
This thread is very timely. Lost a pad apparently during big snow last week. Rotor ground all to hell. Ordered Z36 for all four wheels. Have that on two other vehicles and have been very pleased with them. Incredibly easy to install. Coming middle of next week. Have to see if I have a jack big enough to lift truck with 37's on it.

It’s funny you mention the charger, because my track car is an old crown Vic police car and they devour brakes too. I like these because they hold up well in heavy applications.

You’re right, can occasionally be noisy. (Primarily when cold in my experience) but they are stout.

I really like the look of the EBC rotors the other guy linked. And EBC makes really nice brakes stuff. Their pads are great.

Going to be a tough decision between the Rabestos with Carbotech street pads, or an EBC set up, when it’s time to do the brakes.

I had EBC on my Land Rover. They stopped the beast very handily. But the ebc rotors wore done aggressively. I think I was running ebc greenstuff pad compound.

I will look elsewhere for my next upgrade.

Brembo has some nice kit.
My Audi S8 had Brembo. They were fantastic.
And Brembo makes the brakes on my Porsche.

I have no experience on the Raptor yet as I've just kicked over 10k. However I do have experience with the Z36 kits on Toyotas and can say I was pleased. Noticeably more bite, long lasting, and in my case were quiet. HOWEVER, on those vehicles I didn't pay attention to brake dust at all. So that may or may not be a concern.

Not bagging but never had good experience with EBC pads on the Evo platform. Me or customers (not purchased through me). Ferodo DS2500s were the hot ticket for ultimate street pad for them. Wish Ferodo would make some for the Raptors. But that was a $300 set of front pads.
