Afe, lid or no lid?

I installed the itsx tune and the afe cai and was wondering if you guys are running the lid or no. I'm running the 87 performance tune with the lid off and I don't notice any gains across the board, low end and top end are about the same, just louder (cai) mid range power is not there. You are either on the pipe or just rollin. Any help would be great.

I run mine with the lid. There is a little gain but not a ton. You will get the most gain with a whole system including headers. If your ramming more air in you need a way for the air to get out.

With just the afe and tune the truck should be snappier.

I am running mine with the lid off and a 93 performance tune. I have notice a very big difference! I dont know how much of a difference there is between the 87 and 93 but with the 93 performance tune this thing is a beast!

I'm running mine with the Lid I couldnt stand the noise with it off. I also have headers no cats borla center muffler with corsa rear muffler and 5 star tune with wide band air fuel gauge. 5 star tune is spot on.
