Afe CAI

I've been looking at the afe cold air intake systems but I was wondering if I even need one if I'm not going to be doing any extreme offroading??

I installed the AFE CAI yesterday and i have gotten 2.2 more miles to the gallon. The intake was easy to install and it fit perfect. It will pay for itself in approx. 10 tanks of gas.

Lots of guys say no but I have also heard a lot of support for the AFE with the 5 star lid. I have it but don't run the lid and still love it

Yes... it will work.. You do not have to relocate the hood pin like the other CAI...

Any CAI is worth it! I miss mine. Just undecided on which one to go with next.

I haven't seen the MPG improvement on my Raptor. I'm still around 14.0+/- right now. I may try disconnecting the battery to reset everything, maybe that is the trick.

The install is super easy. I got mine from autoanything without the lid. I love it!

Probably a stupid question, I am still kinda new here, what is a "5 star lid"? I want a cold air intake and I see ppl posting CAI and 5 star lid. Just wondering if I need to buy something else with the intake? What's the best one to buy? Thanks...

5 star stage 2 is cold air intake plus a lid that covers the filter so you don't suck hot air, mud, water, etc
