I wouldn't do the fender flairs.

Why? I am not sure I am liking the grayish color it has instead of black. These are only pictures though, I see on the Ruby Red. I haven't seen it in person though.....yet.

My wheels wells for $150 also. Seemed reasonable to me.

ETA ^^^^ this was for premium, not platinum. I believe the platinum is a higher grade so it would be a better deal .

Why do it? What's the return on the investment? It might be a good idea for when the fender flairs are all scratched up from off-roading (brush, branch, and rock strikes), but Line-X is not impervious to damage and will show wear and damage just like any other surface. But if your intentions for your truck are to make it a garage and street queen, then I suppose that appearance rather than practicality can be paramount.

Mainly because I think it would look better than the greyish color that I am seeing. Black would contrast better with Ruby Red with the black factory graphics, plus Linex would give it a more rugged look than just painting them black. I don't think the Raptor has to be off-road all the time or be classified as everything you do on it is for off-road purposes. I mean if you want JUST an off-road vehicle then why don't you get a 1977 Brono beater to go off-roading in? Then it wouldn't matter what the hell it looked like.

My raptor is going to be my daily driver and I plan on occasional off-road trips. I am going to TRR14, if that even matters. But you do bring up a point about showing wear and tear, I would of thought Line-x would hold up to the elements but perhaps not? If it doesn't, can it be re-coated?

And compared to other mods, the $350 is a drop in the bucket.

I think black line-x flares would look BA. I painted my flares a flat black on my Tux black truck and think it looks much better than the stock silver/grey.

thats a great price. I paid about $350 for my wheel wells, the shop was dead set on that price since I wasn't getting the bed done, since it's enough masking for such a small area to spray. Didn't have any other option around me, but it was still worth it. For $150 it's a no brainer.

I'd do the flares and the side steps too for that price
