Any issues with latency? I had one of the carlink setups and the latency was horrendous. Amazon replaced that one and the replacement was just as bad. Ended up getting my money back

I have the ottercast. The Spotify music comes through fuzzy. It works great for 2-4 songs then gets staticky. I unplug plug it back in. Works great for 2-4 songs. I got another one and that works slightly better but same issue. Any suggestions? Maybe it’s my Spotify? Never thought of trying different app. Everything else works flawlessly [bluetooth, maps]

I use spotify and XM radio regularly. Have not had this issue yet. I also have my phone in a A/C vent holder or in the cup holder next to the shifter. So my phone is not too far away from the Ottocast which is plugged into the USB in the sliding console in front of the shifter.

Wow, looks like a couple of years since anyone posted to this thread! I have a question for Carlink users...

Carlink CPC200-U2W Plus

I have had mine for 5+ years and it has always worked well. Last week it suddenly stopped - I get no wifi or BT signal at all, at least I cannot see any wifi from my iphone or any other iphone I try near the Carlink. Also BT doesn't show up.

Red light is on solid on the Carlink. It does pop up on my truck's screen with the "Find Phone" button, but pushing it does nothing. I tried another usb cable and that didn't help. USB port in truck appears fine, I can plug in my phone the old fashioned way and it works fine.

Anyone else having issues? I am wondering if they pushed an update that bricked my Carlink.

BTW, I tried Carlink support, got back a 4am response with Chinese graphics 2 days later that simply asked if "my screen was red or green". 3 days after replying "red" to that, I haven't gotten a response.

Appreciate any help!

Just a follow-up - heard back from CarLinkit with a firmware update that hopefully fixes my issue.
My case:
Carlinkit CPC200-U2W Plus, no wifi, no bluetooth, red screen with "Find Phone" unresponsive. I suspect an over-the-air firmware update caused the problem.

They recommend downloading the firmware and loading, see their instructions below (I have not tried yet, will this weekend):
Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z4e7YPC2Gt-Dauor8zx36WumzEb41Y-a/view?usp=sharing

1, prepare a 32G or less U disk, and right-click on the U disk, formatted as FAT32 format (4/8/16/32GB)
2, the img format firmware into the U disk (firmware name can not be modified, keep the name in the zip package)
3, find a charger plug to power up the product, and then insert the U disk into the box USB port to upgrade (do not upgrade in the car)
4, upgrade with red and green lights flashing, do not power off, wait until the bright red light or blue light is on, and then wait 3 minutes to unplug.

If the USB flash drive meets the size, and format, but the LED does not appear flashing phenomenon, please replace the USB flash drive.

This is the video tutorial: https://carlinkitcarplay.com/blogs/...-u2w-plus-firmware-upgrade-by-usb-flash-drive
