A Pillar Lights

With the good deals being offered on XL80s, what’s everyone’s thoughts on running an A Pillar light setup? Worth it?

Or wait til I inevitably do a frame cut bumper and just run a 30/40” bar at that time?

I don’t have them yet, but I can see where even squadron pro mounted up that high will go a lot farther. XL80’s are about 2x the squadrons... Yeah, I’d say worth it for long distance and they’ll stay cleaner a little longer than the lower / front lights.

to maximize definition at night, you should have lights at different heights and angles.

I run below bumper, above bumper, A pillar and roof lighting.

If its hammer down after dark, I put them all on.

If you have all of your lights at one level, it creates pretty awful shadows that can make things really confusing and tricky.

Are you running s2 pros for dust lights out back or just the sports?

Seriously thinking about getting the laser version and throwing these on my son’s Jeep though.

I have 3 s2 pros in my 3rd brakelight, 2 s2 pros in my bumper ( reverse, but can flash too), and a pair of squadron pros on the top of the bed caps.

I generally just use the 2 in the brake light as chase lights.

If I'm pulled off of the trail and stopped repairing someone, I put the squadrons and reverse lights on flash. ( I just REALLY don't want to get mowed over because someone couldn't see me.)

The extra lighting also helps for work lighting.

If I'm repairing my own truck, I have wheel well and underhood lighting via KC cyclones.

how is the glare on your hood from the a pillar lights?
