Just be careful, we like having you around!

Back in the day the Army sent me to Rod Hall's off-road racing school. Rod did not condone beating the crap out of the Hummers. He won a lot of races with nearly bone stock H1s because he kept them dirty side down and in one piece. After returning to my unit and training the guys the way Rod and Josh had trained us, we got far more performance out of the HMMWV with zero modifications. Just as importantly (if not more) we reduced breaking the trucks to almost nothing.

One week of driving training with a good instructor beat 5 years of experience trying to figure it out on our own. I have a feeling the Raptor is better than most of us are.

I couldn't agree more about your emphasis on driver training. Ive done a few racing schools and high performance driving schools and the training has done immense things for my skillet behind the wheel in a hairy situation. Someday soon I'd like to do an offroad specific school.

I completly disagree, Ford set out to build 1 truck, and they talked to the right people and built it, tested it and got it back to the factory and tore it apart as well as copied others work. I've talked with 3 of the designers and builders and maybe I've gotten more info than most will because of my dezert and truck building knowledge, but they(Ford) destroy the truck and now were left with 11/12 inch of travel when at one testing point it was at much more. Ford had many reasons on why they did this, but just because someone builds something doesn't mean you or I can't come in a build it stronger to go faster in the dirt.

A good friend of mine wrote that article and loved the truck. Which means a lot considering he shoots the best of the best daily

Name some names and your credibility may go from "none" to "very little". Really its a good play, because nobody can prove your a liar- if you are. But you cant -or wont- prove your not. You dont have to be a desert racer to say that a truck can be improved on or built wth longer travel.

Why is that you know Jack shit about everything yet think you should run you mouth everytime I post, I just don't get it!
If this "•^~_}~" really wants a name, here is one for ya, Greg•

I'm actually curious as to how much off road knowledge you had before you bought a Raptor

My guess is that I talk to more people in the industry and build more today than you have in your life

I dont make ostentatious claims about myself. If half of what you claim to be is true then somebody here should recognize your name...
As for me and off roading, I have ridden dirt bikes for as long as I can remember and have been around the sport my entire life. It is my hobby and something I love.

It would be very cool if someone offered Raptor-specific training. Getting the most out of both the mechanical and electronic enhancements SVT put into this thing would be awesome! Maybe we should start a new thread on the subject and see if we can get someone to bite?

Yeah man, I'm cool with that. If you wanna do the honors and start a thread like that, you've got my support.

hmmmmmm...... So I'm guessing you guys decided to take each other off of your Ignore lists?

Well that feature is tailor-made for guys who can never agree with each other, but if you all wanna go without it, your both grown men and that is your choice. The bickering probably isn't worth your time, but it makes for some semi-entertaining reading material for the rest of us.

I value both of your contributions here, so I'll let you guys "debate".
If you guys end up needing Mod help, let us know, but for now I'm gonna handle it like that bartender in Pulp Fiction: "My name's Paul, and this is between y'all...."
