Raptor group in Reno area, as well as a lot of Adventure riders, and from their posts that looks like a great area.

Like John says though, Vegas is a good base camp for wonderful excursions in any direction!

Your posts are such a welcome sight from the hundreds of posts of when is my Raptor going to be built, when is my Raptor going to get to the dealer, and my dealer wants $$$$ ADM. It sure will be nice when things calm down and we can get back to the normal posts.

I believe they are still mining gypsum out here. It’s the only active mining that I know about. They mostly mined minerals out in the Lake Mead area I believe . An hour from Vegas in this TINY town of Nelson, GOLD was mined out there and way back it was bigger than Vegas and produced more Gold than anywhere else or something like that.. You can do a Very Cool Mine tour just down the street in Eldorado Canyon. Great off-roading and hiking too.
