BFR, I truly wish my local dealers had been so cooperative but, no...All of them were ********* with respect to this issue. I agree that the truck feels better all the way around. I finally have a truck that acts like the one that convinced me to buy the Raptor when I test drove it back in January. I still haven't gotten over the dealer tech who said he'd never heard of an F-150 Raptor. I had to send a couple letters for that one because any dealer with staff that stupid shouldn't be selling the product.

The Shaft!

just had the drive shaft installed. Took all of 20 mins. No clunk!!!!!
One thing to note there apparently 2 shafts that are made for the scab and 2 for the screw. Not sure why but the service manager had ordered both for my scab and one has a different flange. All is good and smooth.

Driveshaft RECALL...

2011 Raptor driveshaft recall....
There is now a RECALL for the 11 Raptor because of the driveline "clunk".

Recall 11B25.

Just got an e-mail from the dealer who changed mine a couple weeks ago.

Under the recall I have to take mine back in and have them inspect it and for me to sign off on the recall. Mine already has the correct shaft though.

Unless this is for the driveshaft currently being put in place, this is some very old news. Look in the "Clunk" thread.

I don't think it was ever a true recall. I was in the dealer yesterday and they said it was a "customer notification" thing and not a recall.

No....this is not old news. This is a RECALL for the driveshaft to correct the "clunk". There was only the TSB before.

Recall 11B25.

The TSB is TSB-11-5-7

Here is what my service manager e-mailed me yesterday.

Looks like you jumped the gun on the driveshaft
for the Raptor. There is a recall 11B25 out for it now.
By the book, I need you to stop by, inspect your
truck and close the recall. The correct driveshaft
is already in your truck.
At your convenience, stop by so we can open a
repair order, have you sign it and let you go.
Pretty painless!

Hmmm, strange that they would come out with a recall about this right after announcing it as a TSB. Maybe one of the current Ford tech's can chime in.
