Normal AC operation per owners manual as someone already stated. It was that way in my wife’s 2020 explorer ST as well, I believe all current model fords do it. Owners manual gives the reason why.

I had 10k on mine when I got rid of it in December - I couldn't take the clunking anymore. I am patiently awaiting my next order.

I saw a G3 for sale the other day that had 41k miles. That's the highest I've seen so far.
