^^^. Yep when I see anyone writing a frickin novel trying to impress us with his knowledge and expound how his way is the only way, that’s an instant signal that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and I just stop reading.

Love push button start! Won’t buy another car without it. It’s a game changer for me. Went from a vehicle with it, then to one without it. Will never do that again. Your results may vary but mine won’t! [emoji3577]

I know, right? The first car I had with that feature was an '03 Infiniti, and since then I've been glad to pay for it any time I had the option to.

Another vote for keyless + push button start. I always keep my keys in the same place and put it in my pocket when heading out the door. Not having to reach for it again is very convenient.

it’s not to know or not know about- I just don’t like push button start.

I mean....it’s essentially similar to someone not wanting a CVT worm gear tranny in a car & preferring traditional automatic...or more likely preferring manual tranny over auto, or manual over dual clutch despite the solid argument dual clutch may be “better”

I drove through 3 states w/ my smart key sitting on the plastic windshield cowl of my wife’s MDX this summer....kids, dog, multiple bags & crap in my arms throwing everything in her suv I tossed the key on the windshield Cowl to free up my hand to open door & not
Drop they key in the puddle beneath me.

fast forward to me strapping kids in & making sure I got everything loaded up & I just started the thing w/ push button & went driving along.....I may be adhd absent minded- so be it- but if her Acura had a real damn key I would have “remembered” it wasn’t where it should be

lucky it didn’t slide off while
I was in the middle of the trip I’d be screwed!

I think my moms Audi has a smart key that still gets pushed into some kinda ignition slot, that would probably be a good compromise for me lol

I also like a column shifter in a truck vs a console shifter like the raptor has- Altho I think it suits the raptor since it has a more “sporty” feel/look to it, but I just like the column shifter old school truck feel to it & frees up more room in the cabin.

A major turnoff for me w/ the Ram 1/2 tons was their stupid F’n rotary dial “shifter”

to each their own!

There is a Ford part that literally plugs in that adds shock alarm protection and includes remote start.

Genuine OEM Ford F-150 15-19 Security System w/Remote Start KN1Z-19A361-A

Except no one sees my $12.00 key chain...

Yeah, I'd be embarrassed too if anyone knew that I spent that much on a key chain. I got two for free. They came with the truck. I can even unlock the doors with them.

Easy way I used to tell if the truck I was looking at was an 802a when shopping for it was the painted mirrors. Autotrader doesn’t have the most accurate listings but photos rarely lie.

I bought used and found 801s and 802s were priced pretty similar once they were 1-2 years old.
yep just bought a very slightly used 2020 loaded for about the same as two lower spec'd trucks a looked at.
