2.9L is bigger than I thought. Figured they would use the 2.3L. I won't be the first but I will be a customer for it. 650hp sounds like way too much for the stock bottom end.

Naw...we run 725hp on the stock dohc 5.4's all day long.

You had a supercharged 496 that only made 550hp? My single carb 496 makes almost 700 on pump gas, over 1000hp on the spray. Did you have it de-tuned on purpose?

To be honest, I dunno.... It was on a 2004 2500HD GMC with Allison Tranny. The thing hauled ass but I bought it that way. Maybe it was tuned for towing purposes... It wasn't a fully built race engine or anything.
