after having both a kenne bell and a whipple on my 03 cobra I wont go with anything but a whipple. The quality is second to none and the power my car made was just stupid. It should tell you guys something if a car manufacturer will back an after market company as ford does for whipple.

I had a Whipple and then a KB 2.6 on my built Lightning and the KB was slightly better. The Whipple was a 2.3L of course. I wouldn't dismiss either if they both were to make a Raptor kit, but KB has already said they would not make a kit.

No thank you I prefer my blowers without a heat soaking problem.

We are direct with all of the blower manufacturers, including Magnacharger. The 2300 kits are excellent. We built a 2010 Camaro that had a 419 stroker, Magnacharger 2300, and full bolt-on's. It made 650 RWHP through an auto and ran 10.20 @ 135 mph on OEM 20" wheels and Nitto drag radials and weighed 4,160 with me in it. I ran at an event in Georgia and ran the quick 16 event making a few test passes and the Quick 16 event (10 passes in less than an hour in a half) and it ran within .2 and 2 mph in 90 degree heat.

My $0.02, the Whipple will be worth the wait. I was VERY happy with the Whipple on my last truck, an '05 w/ the 5.4L. Mine was from the first batch that they shipped for the 5.4L and it still put 380HP to the ground on pump premium. Fit and finish was perfect. For a blower, it was very quite. Not even noticible under 30% power or so, and quiter at full throttle than an Eaton at cruise. (The Airaid filter was my modification, their filter was ridiculous to check/change, although I imagine that they've fixed that design by now.) I sold the truck after mayber 30K miles, but it's still going strong today for the guy that bought it from me.

I have seen what Livernois can do with the 1800 and 2300 on G8s and Camaros and it is pretty impressive and have not heard of any complaints. Who doesn't need a 500+ hp family car (G8)?

The screw blower is typically better for a heavy vehicle because of the low end power and torque they produce.

The following graph shows a comparison of a Screw Blower vs a Centrifugal on a 6.2L Camaro SS. The test was performed with 2 different cars, but they baselined within 2 hp of each other and were identical builds in terms of exhaust, header, heads, cam, etc. Both were tuned on our dyno in similar weather (within a week of each other).

Blue is the screw blower and red is the Centrifugual
