Yeah - The Magnapack setup is pretty mean. It was too damn cold today to make any fly-by's - but I hope to find time tomorrow. I've played in T/H and ORM and seem to get a different sound with each. My video equipment seems to be a little limited in the audio dept, but I'll be able to put something up that shows the sound.

Hmmm. I may need to go mess with the modes a bit today to hear that! :)

Ok Lucky - after a few hundred miles with the new exhaust, I got to thinking... (famous last words).

I'm dying to know what the sound and performance would be like if I changed the setup a bit. Run a second Magnapack, to have one each from the cats back - to create a true dual setup.:hmm:

I'm guessing it'd be a bit louder, but being able to breathe better may impact the performance.

Seriously considering this when I bite the bullet on a CAI and tune. I may have to downsize the pipe diameter based on backpressure requirements - but overall I have a feeling the result will be good.

SOCOMech does this sound like the muffler you were using. I think you said it was 22 inches long but I can only find 20 inches long.

SO if I was to replace the stock exhaust, but keep the rest of the system stock, can I go to a single 4-5" tip or do I need to keep the dual tips? Love the RPG Black tips I saw earlier on this thread.

Are the stock dual tips just held on with bolts?

Still waiting for mine, so nothing to look at. Sorry for the simple question.

Thanks

I'm getting a second Magnapack - real dual exhaust (but factory cats).

The tip size is irrelavant because the cats and mufflers do the work in reducing sound and backflow pressure.

Mine will both be run in line with the drieshaft and exit before the axle. I'll likely reduce the pipe diameter to keep backflow in line, but this will be done with calculations of adding a CAI later.

EDIT - weld everything. Bolt on shit can leak.

Love to hear that set-up when u r done.

I'm going to start with a single Magnaflow and if not what I want, then dual Flows or Packs exit before rear tires.

If going with the Magnaflows, is there a single size used or are there options for best sound? How to pick?

Got a new keyboard tonight so it will help with my spelling a bit. Of course the scotch and tequila helps in their own way...

The Magnapack is the 14419 model and it works great. I notice more of a difference between 3500 and 5000rpm. I'm hoping Pirate can help me with an answer regarding changing the output diameter to reduce backflow as required when adding a second one to make a true dual.

I'll keep ya posted on what's recommended.
