6.2 Blown Motor????

There are 2 scenarios here. Both equal the engine covered. Since what I gathered from reading appears hyrdo locked like description....

A: If he did nothing wrong and did not ingest water from playing to hard :) Then the engine has a true warranty issue that will be covered.

B. If we aren't getting the whole story, just because the truck isnt modded doesnt mean its not getting used hard. Now that said could have been playing with water and injested some from going thru to deep, splashing to hard or whatever! it happens- almost to me I was scared!!!! anyway as long as you have Comprehensive coverage then if the engine Hydrolocked and NOT due to an actual warranty issue or defect, then the engine is covered by your insurance. Driving thru to deep of water is a covered loss. I see it all the time in my job. I teach a class about Hydrolocked engines also ;) for insurance Reps.

He's rolling a Kia Sportage now :ROFLJest:..........but good news is that they are replacing the motor with a long block, he should get back some time next week......hopefully

Most of you probably don't know that Ford dealership service deparments get penalised for carrying out warranty repairs, the more they do then Ford see it as a negative.
So ALL dealers will try to get customer to pay if they can.
