The new PCMs of today monitor a lot more than spark advance, AFR and a simple rich/lean condition like to old ones do.

You can't easily fool the new PCM and the software.

Have you tried registering it your "Home of Record" state? Althouhg I've heard the SF at Travis don't care and subject you to the CA laws anyway. Still worth a shot.

I would be down for some headers too. Get a little gain and still not have to spend $2500+

I doubt their would be a price difference between ST and LT Headers, it's still the same amount of work to build them.

According to SW, they will be a lot cheaper. And how do you figure that it's the same amount of work to build them?

Ahhhh, it going to take the same amount of time to build them.

You still need to bend them up, jig it and weld it all up, the end of the collector is only going to be a shorter distance.

For 6 to 8 inches of material less times 8 of course, SS tubing doesn't cost that much.

The LTs are $1295 right, I didn't look so if I'm wrong correct me.

Ya they do but the main reason they have gone from a 84 pin PCM to a 198 PCM is for DBW. With gas one of the biggest concerns is backfire. Today's intakes and mostly plastic and 1 uncontrolled backfire and the intake is toast. I know that the PCM had enough room for change and adapting for a few things. Its not fooling the PCM it knows how much air is going through the MAF you are not tricking anything here is adjust the fuel pulse the the injectors no matter what size the injectors is it. Wish I still worked there so I could play around with it cheaply as I could before. :)
