5. The Action Hero: Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

The 1980s were ripe with action heroes – Stallone, The Governator (Schwarzenegger), Bruce Willis, Van Damme, Steven Segal, Mr. T. Then they got old (see The Expendables) and the movies got worse (also, see The Expendables). Ask yourself, who was the big action hero between the mid-90s until the mid-2000s? Nicholas Cage? Will Smith? Smith is totally bankable, but Arnold in his prime would have torn his noggin off and spouted some awful “This guy’s going to have a whopping headache” joke.

The same could be said for American trucks – they’ve been good, but which truck has been a breakout vehicle the last ten years? The last real truck innovation, the in-bed trunk, was on a Honda Ridgeline. Was the Ridgeline a breakout truck? Enter the F-150 Raptor. The Raptor is the Jason Statham of trucks – a butt-kicking action star with street cred. We love the grille. We love the optional matte-black hood paint. And we love that it delivers on looks and performance. America loves its trucks, but we like our action heroes just as much. And like Statham, the Ford F-150 Raptor sure does turn heads.

It's the only one I could actually say "stands out from the crowd". Rounding out the mix we've got an Audi Crossover SUV thing...a Volvo, a Volkswagen and a Mini. Who picks cars like that when they want to stand out?

Other than the Raptor, a pretty ******* gay line up.

My top 5 list:
1. Ford Raptor
2. Ford Boss 302 Laguna Seca
3. Audi R8
4. Aston Martin Vanquish V12 (better than the DB9 IMO)
5. Lexus LFA

Everything else is a speed bump.

The CC I could kind-of agree with, for the money it stands out pretty well. But the rest I call total BS. I think a John Cooper Works Mini stands out a lot more than the bloated one they just released...

My "stand out" cars would be:
McLaren F1
Zonda
Reventon
Veyron
GT3RS
GTR
Raptor

I think the GT3 RS only stands out because of the ridiculous red wheels and graphics. Otherwise it would just look like a nice 911.
What I think stands out from the crowd.
Sportchassis P4XL, Its massive well... everything.

Bugatti Veyron, Looks unlike anything else.

Ferrari 430, its low, wide, smooth look

Maserati Granturismo, very aggressive yet classy

And I know you all will hate it but it does stand out. Smart for two.
