This is the seal between the valve body and the case that is prone to cracking and causing all sorts of havoc in there

Looks like $15 for one from ford on Amazon. Will I need to replace more seals as I take it apart to get to that or do I just need that? Not a transmission guy here lol

Mine is doing this shit too. Exact same noise and shift points. It overrevs from 3-4 and has weird downshifting 4-3. Started with The squawk/groan thing every so often and no it does it all the time. Had filter change and fresh fluid and still does it, no leaks.

Yay i love not being alone. My coyote f150 doesn’t do it nor did my EcoBoost, this is my first encounter with it. I wonder if it’s more common on 6.2s due to trans running hotter in those. My coyote runs 188 cruising 70 and my EcoBoost ran 175 cruising 70, all were leveled on 35s.

All you have to do is remove the valve body as a whole piece and you can see the seal plain as day. I wasn't sure what was wrong with mine, so I assumed it was the lead frame. While I was in there I installed a transmission cooler bypass and a shift improver from Trans dap? Maybe Trans go? I can't remember. My mechanic also found a burnt out shift solenoid while we were in there. And also replaced the separation plate between the 2 valve body halves, at the request of a tsb

That would be trans pump seal failure. If it’s failed twice then you probably have an issue with the case causing the seals not to..well…seal.
Weird since it was fine for 130k maybe it’ll get a monster transmission this time around.
