Sub 3 seconds would be in the 2s. I read mid 3s. Still very quick. Going to be a great car. Anyone guessing on the price of the track version. I say upper $80s

Sam

I would place bets that the 0-60 times will be around 3.2-3.4, highly doubt it will get any better than that. Below 3 sec you would be competing against the new GT and other super/ hyper cars and don't see the GT500 playing in that group with a production model.

I'd be very cautious adding any more power to this car

Imagine a raptor with a 5.2 super charged with a dual clutch and paddles.... I'd be all over that

I have been saying that from the beginning with mine. Don't necessarily need the power plant but would love to have a dual clutch gear box.

I think an N/A version of this new 5.2 (NOT the FPC in the 350) would be just fine. I am guessing power would be close to 515hp.

Dual clutch is the way to go. Too bad they had to ditch the flat plane crank. The sound alone of the GT350 is worth the price of admission.

Sam
Meh... it wasn't a proper plane crank anyway, though the selected firing order still sounded awesome.

I do like the idea of an American performance car finally having a DCT. The only other I can recall is the ecoboost FGT. The selection of a planetary auto over a DCT along with the associated marketing BS GM spread on corvetteforums is one of several reasons I won't own a C7(Z). A good DCT such as a GT3 PDK is impressive.

IMO, torque converter + planetary auto is king of drag race, DCT is king on the track (well, assuming you aren't serious enough for a sequential manual), three pedal is king of fun, though I'm not sure whether or not a 991 GT3 would be more fun in 3 pedal form.

Agree - the NA 5.2 and the 10spd (assuming Ford figures it out) would be perfect for the Raptor. Get it 490hp or so and be done. This is not a race car.... Just need for off-road performance.
