5.0 swap vs building the 6.2

I would have thought the 5.0 would have been "easier." Looks like the 7.3 is way to go but still not easy and or have it work without issues

If you get the swap kit it sounds like there's nothing "extra" needed. It uses the 6.2 PCM and a different engine harness, so it wouldn't requiring having to change out a bunch of extra items.

Regardless of which way you go, will your transmission be able to handle it? I’d hate to see you get up and running, only to suffer a transmission failure soon after.

6R80 and 10R80 are rated for the same torque. That's the "80" part. Ford is cool with putting the 10R80 behind the 735 HP Raptor R.

I’m sure there are some upgrades, as there are with the 10 speed in the PSD super duty. And I’m not talking about the warranty or expectation, we’re talking about supercharged v8 of TBD displacement. IMO the 7.3 n/a crate engine would probably do great. Like I said, I don’t want to see someone make the same mistakes I did at 18.

It might go 100K, it might blow in 1 day. Who cares?

A fully billet, race ready everything 6R80 is less than $10K, and the trans is easy to swap compared to any of the other AWD vehicles on the road nowdays.

You aren't even paying the taxes on a Raptor R in most states with $10K.

the 10 speed trans in the superduty is the 10r140 in the 1/2 tons of the 10r80. not the same transmission.
