Where are you located? Maybe someone here knows the dealers near you and can assist or you can PM the Ford Service rep we have on the forum to get some assistance

Well folks I have taken my truck to three different shops to get the front end looked at. I have a grinding noise or sometime banging sound and the 4wd does not work...

It's time for me to get involved, Cbass953; I'll get to work on some ways to help out. Send me a private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'm on the case! :)

Mine was at the dealer for two weeks without a fix as of yet , take your GOPRO and make a video , that's my next plan of action before the warranty expires .

Hi ITSALLGOOD,

I want to arrange for a follow-up call from your regional customer service manager. Since you and I have been in touch before, all I'll need from you is a PM with your current mileage and best daytime phone number.

Crystal

Well dropped off my truck last Friday. Took one of the mechanics out for a ride show I could let him hear the noise for himself. He was " wow that's terrible" he then explained to me that it was probably a vaccum issue. I tried to explain to him about the IWE issues and he just gave me that look. Called them after work tonight and the still said they cannot find any noises and had to put it on the rack to check with some hi tech instruments. Not sure what to say about these guys. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for the boys in blue.

It could be the vacuum in the system is letting go. They can put a vacuum pump on it and test it.

However, once the IWE is the last bit compromised, it won't take long for it to completely strip out.

Ok folks, was told today that I have a bad wheel bearing. I have had wheel bearings do out before and have never have never heard a loud clunk or grinding while trying to engage 4wd. I hope they're right but not feeling good about it at this point. Wish me luck fellow raptor fans!

Picked up my truck last Saturday. Was not able to talk to the service manager personally because it was after hours. I however did talk to him early that week and he said they replaced the wheel bearing and it was back in working order. As far as I can tell I cannot replicate the problem so I am satisfied. They covered it all under my powertrain warranty, which kinda surprised me. It took awhile but I am satisfied. Just happy I had another vehicle with the truck being down for 2 weeks not including running around to the other dealers with no answers. Thanks for everyone's help!
