4L transmission issues

Have you tried it in 4L without offroad mode? I know even on level ground if I'm in 4L offroad and just slowly increasing speed it will still slam pretty good from 1st into 2nd. It holds that 1st gear extra long in offroad mode. I haven't experimented with just 4L and no offroad mode, your post made me think of it.

I thought of this today have you tryed tow haul mode keeps you in a lower gear.
