Why do so many people on this forum keep saying something to this effect.. "Ford will sell every Gen 3 they make"?

You know who else sells every vehicle they make? Literally every car manufacturer in the world.
Customers are paying way over for a used GEN2 now. The demand will not stop with the GEN3. Is this better for you to understand?

I tend to think you’re right, but, it’s not taking the same strain as say a 3500 pound pony car, instead it’s pushing 35” tires, and 5800 pounds. I think Ford’s being a little conservative here and there probably is a bit more room and certainly built it’s worth more.

But, I think they’re primarily concerned with more real world use cases than the true Raptor enthusiast.
Does Ford have a bulletproof 8-speed in its stable? 8 gears that all shift smooth and never skip would be perfect, IMO.

Was able to drive a TRX today while at a birthday party for my wife’s friend.

Suppose I can see why a lot of Raptor owners are trading over, it was seriously a nice ride and comfortable as all hell. The seats were bolstered perfectly for my dad bod.

The HK 19 channel system was a lot better than the B&O system for sure.

I was a little surprised with the dual exhaust system from the factory. For a 6.2 V8 with dual 5” tips it wasn’t as loud as I was expecting inside or even outside. It had 300 miles on it so you couldn’t get on it still but that instant TQ was insane.

Reluctant to say this, but thinking about jumping into one after driving it for some time today. Don’t think I’ll be able to get a raptor for a while as I have no dealer relationship and really feel Ford has not one clue if these will get off the ground soon. At least I’ll have something to trade in next year when the Raptor market cools down, hopefully.

Just saved ya 10k, buy a gen 1 Scab and its the same weight as a gen 2 or 3 screw :favorites13: :bleh::anitoof::chair:

I could do this all day, ha ha

a gen1 scab weighs just about 6000lbs even

a gen2 weighs 5,525 lbs....475 lbs isn’t insignificant by any stretch

on the flip side, holy hell is the TRX heavy - I’ve seen curb weights from 6350 to 6700 lbs

Yeah the one I drove was from a guy who bought it and a week later handed it back. He traded a Gen 1 Raptor and a charger Hellcat in on it. Said he didn’t like it as much as he thought he would. They have him $88 on trade in toward a Redeye Charger or Challenger I can’t remember now which one the guy got. Dude put 300 miles on it.

Stellanis service or mopar or FCA or whatever they are now is garbage for the most part, but we have a good dealer here in my area. The Ford dealer service here is really good to from what I remember with my Gen 1 experience.
Klaben Ford for the win in Kent OH, or their Ram dealer as well. Easy nice experiences with both.

I almost think the hype around the TRX is causing inflated expectations. Like, yeah, it has 700hp, cool, but it's also a big heavy full-size truck. Of course it isn't going to feel as fast as a Redeye Challenger or a Trackhawk or whatever.

Still a little weird that he didn't like it coming from a Gen 1 Raptor and a Hellcat, because the TRX is basically a modernized, mashed-together version of both.
