Love seeing the same video and the same discussion the third time. Maybe power numbers become the truth more time we discuss this video...

Gen 3 is starting to look a bit like a placeholder and test bed for the new independent rear and 37" setup. I predict a relatively short run for this generation before the next one comes with electrification or hybrid setup.
also, I call ******** on the 10r80 only holding 590Tq ( yes, I am aware of the 800nm designation.
With clutches and steels, plus a billet torgue convertor, they'll hold more than double that without an issue.
well, i guess we'll find out in a few weeks.I tend to think you’re right, but, it’s not taking the same strain as say a 3500 pound pony car, instead it’s pushing 35” tires, and 5800 pounds. I think Ford’s being a little conservative here and there probably is a bit more room and certainly built it’s worth more.
But, I think they’re primarily concerned with more real world use cases than the true Raptor enthusiast.
I think a mainstream, hybridized F-150 is coming a lot sooner than you think. Besides, Ford is completely out of their tree if they designate these late summer trucks as 2021s, so I figure 2022-2024 at most before it goes on hiatus for a year or so and then comes back as a gas/electric hybrid (or perhaps full electric if the Lighting can prove the concept. The Raptor is tied to the F150 cycle, which will probably not be redesigned for four-plus more years. I doubt they would branch the Raptor off into it's own class and modify it independently.
You guys are crazy. Ford is going to sell every gen3 they can make. If you can’t wait for the R then go buy yourself the TRX.
