You really are doing exceptional work . I finely finished mine . I used the Orbit shrouds and I think they look good. The orbits are little bigger and did require some grinding to fit . I can post some pics but don't want to crowd in on your thread.
Guys this is a bargain that Ducati is offering . This mod takes TIME and patience . To me he is dam near giving them away .
Great job sir !!!

Nice man, please feel free to put a pic in here, I would love to see them !

ah okay that makes a lot of sense. can you post a pic of the backside of the projector where it goes into that mounting? I took apart the projectors on my stealth once just to clean the glass and lenses, but they were factory projectors. Never seen the retrofits up close to see how they actually looked in person.

How does the wiring for your kits work? Aside from the extra LEDs, for the light themselves, do we need to modify the factory wiring harness at all, or do you have a plug & play adaptor?

Hoping I get a decent chunk back from taxes and can sneak this mod in lol. I'd probably do the core charge, have you send me your spare lights, then send you my OEM originals with no miles on them and ventureshield film on the lenses (getting clear-bra'ed the weekend I get the truck), then ship your spare lights back. Wouldn't mind the little extra wait or shipping, but that way I'd get my brand spanking new lights still in my truck with ventureshielded lenses.

Okay, so this is the back of the projector. Like I said, there is some dremeling required to get it to sit in the stock reflector properly but its minimal. this is minus the lock ring and bulb holder which I have removed.

For the wiring I provide you with a new wiring harness. The "plug and play" kits you see on ebay that run off the stock harness are cheap and put to much stress on the factory wiring. You DO NOT have to alter the factory wiring harness at all, just plug into one side of it. In the pic this is the input sticking up that connects to the passenger side output only. From there it runs to a relay that tells the lights if they are in high or low.

Its actually very simple to wire up, you run a positive and negative to the battery, mount the relay and thats it.Im in the process of making a "how to" video to explain the install.

This is a pic of the back of my finished retro's. There are 3 outputs. The 2 wires sticking over to the left are the AMP connections for bulb to ballast. The one on the bottom is the solenoid connection that connects to the wiring harness - (this tells it high or lows). The one on the right is the led lead which needs a 12v power source. You can connect it to aux 4 so you control when they are on or use wire taps and connect to the parking lights so they come on with the parking lights. I send it pre wired with a quick disconnect.

VERY cool.

That also gives me a lot more confidence in the setup seeing how it's mounted, and it's actually locked in with the retaining nut on that thread, and not just a projector JB welded into place. I never really saw one in-progress like that.

On your wiring, those connectors plug into either the ballast, or your intermediate harness, which has a +/- connection to the battery, and then a plug and play connection to the stock headlight plug correct?

My Sylvania Xenarcs were very similar install. Their ballasts were internal to the housing, but it was very similar, the factory plug plugged into the sylvania plug, there was 1 relay that clipped on the cowl support, and one +/- wire to the battery.

*EDIT* I just now noticed your in NY! Where exactly at in NY? I'm in Jackson NJ.

If you're within driving distance, is this something you have down to a routine to knock out in a single day? I wouldn't mind driving up on a weekend some time this spring/summer, and we knock out my headlights while I'm there if it's a matter of just separating the lenses, and installing the projector. I'd probably keep the factory reflectors, so no painting on mine. It'd at least save shipping and needing to tie up your core set for a few weeks, especially since I want it done to my OEM originals rather than a swap out. And while you're doing your magic on the lense separation and projector installing, I could be hooking up the wiring in my truck. Raptor Mod Day GTG?!?! :D

You think that the amber LED's with the unpainted reflector would work to drive in fog ? or would the light output be so minimal that it wouldnt work...

I could have swore I replied to this yesterday, huh, must have not hit submit.

I do use a little JB Weld on the lock nut, also between the projector and stock reflector just as double insurance that it will never move.

Your correct with the wiring , heres a pdf of the harness that I send with each kit. - http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pdf/trs_tech/Heavy_Duty_Bi-xenon_Harness.pdf

Im way upstate man, 2 hrs. north of Albany, lol. Raptor Mod day would be sick but I have at least 12 to 15 hrs. into each set. Between opening, dremeling, cleaning, mock up, painting/dry time- 2 coats, mounting, clocking, aiming, testing harness and relay, final mounting, shroud prep and install, wiring outputs and resealing.

All that for the headlights and I can install the harness/ballast in 15 min. hahaha.

If your sending me headlights off a brand new truck, I order you new OEM's for the retro. I only use swap lights for "used headlights" But even with the swap, I only accept ones in mint condition and I polish them so they look like new. If its something I wouldnt install on my own truck I wont sell it to anyone.

No you wouldnt get enough light to make a difference.

Got a new brand new set of OEM's coming for you next week, should have something ready by the end of the week !
