Okay guys, so Ive had a few request for amber lights in the shrouds. Im gonna start offering led's back there so you can customize what you want. I will have pure white(5000K) and true amber led's available this week, pics to come.

This is something Ive been messing around with, not sure exactly how it will function in the truck but Ill find out. RGB LED's. Obviously, a little common sense here, only white and amber are legal as front lights for road use but... heres some cool options for "show" trucks or any off road function.

heres a quick vid I just made. These are non blacked out reflectors so the light spills out into the reflector. With a blacked out reflector you would mostly see the light through the projector and shroud, working on a set now. Please forgive the poor commentary, Ive had 8 or so beers.

Ill have a set painted today and do another mock up with the rbg's, it will still be pretty bright you just wont see the the light bouncing off the reflector as much.

I will have the solid amber and 5000k white ones midweek. There will be no extra charge for these if you want one. The rgb's ill have to add $100 to the price, the parts cost more and I have to custom make a wire harness for them.

How would a very light coat look on the reflector? Would it be black or would you still be able to see some of the reflector? If you think about it take a pic next time your painting. I'm going to be ready end of the week.

That video you posted is badass

Yeah, your truck should be here soon right. Nice.

I use gloss black paint on the reflector so its straight black. I wouldn't use nightshades on the reflector, it just doesn't give as nice of a finish, if thats what you mean. Only reason I use it on the amber side is so light will pass through.

Ill PM you a list of options and put your lights next in line.

I was kinda thinking the same thing, like a "black chrome", still shiny and reflective but darker.??? Lol

Thats how the recons come, they tint their chrome reflector. it looked cool in the shade but in the sun it had a purplish tint to it that looked terible next to the black of the truck.
