The clear bra is something I am considering also. I have 700 miles on my new Raptor and already a decent chip in my front bumper. I had three Ford Expeditions and I never remember any chips on my front bumper.
I watched a video of some experts doing a truck front end - let me tell you I would never try this myself. Imagine tinting the inside of your windshield by yourself and making it look perfect. It takes hundreds of hours of practice to be a pro. The clear bras are applied in a very similar fashion to window tint. Oh, and when you use a razor to cut tint, it does not hurt the glass. These guys are cutting the clear bra with something and not damaging the paint.
