Did I read somewhere that somebody got the 37" BFG spare to fit underneath?

Even if I chop my exhaust over the axle, I can't see any way in hell this thing is going to fit unless I take all the air out. Kind of defeats the purpose of a spare since I don't run an onboard air compressor.

I would like to free up bed space.

More pics of the spare...I do plan on getting the outlaw bed rack, and then placing my spare in that, but until then, this works nicely.

Let me know if there are any other pics anyone wants of the spare...i know i owe a few more pics....and they will be coming.

VG, did you grind down the frame on yours? Mine pushes the tire into rear diff cause it's too narrow to let the tire sit back against the hitch.

Nope, no modifications other than i had already cut my exhaust. The tire shop wanted to try it, i didn't think it would fit but it did. I was really close to the diff, but it didn't hit it. I had the tire mounted to the stock rim, not that it should make a difference.

Alright, I'm going to look at this again.

Yeah, give it a try, put it on the cable and rasie it up, if you haven't yet. Mine went in without issues. I believe it was inflated to 38 or 40 psi...

Got it in there with some finesse. Thanks VG. I think I had it crooked or something the first time.

So should I wrap the exhaust with some heat shield tape? Didn't really want to chop it off but I will if that's too much heat by my spare.

Awesome, glad you got it in there. You should see some space between the tire and diff, plenty.

As for the exhaust, i had already chopped mine off, but i would wrap the exhaust in some heat shield as to not damage your spare.

I got mine up in there too, but I have a MBRP turndown exhaust, so that wasn't an issue. That factory tailpipe would be a little too close for my comfort considering that the tailpipe is going to move around a bit during driving. At the very least, I'd put some fiberglass wrap on the pipe and keep an eye on the tire.

Mine wouldn't fit with a mag hytec diff cover. Not enough room between hitch and diff.
Other 37" bfg notes, power is reduced dramatically, ride is improved, and they definitely do not clear glassworks +2 inner fender liners with a brenthel long travel kit :ROFLJest:
